- Big Five publisher Hachette is doing really, really well. In the US, Hachette Book Group saw revenue increase by nearly 15 percent in the first half of 2021 versus 2020. Parent company Lagardère Publishing had excellent results worldwide, with total revenue increasing 16.4 percent in the first half—and profit growing to 110 million Euro from 27 million.
